In Bloom is apart of a body of work exploring staining as both a material process and a metaphor for emotional and psychological residue. Through film, textiles, and performance, I use the stain as a visual trace, an index of touch, memory, and disruption. These marks resist erasure, speaking to the persistence of past traumatic experiences on the body and mind. The work engages with ideas of visibility, contamination, exposure and care; inviting viewers to consider what is left behind, what seeps through, and what refuses to be erased.
