Chiron’s Rule is a video and performance based work that explores the cyclical nature of wounding and repair, drawing on the myth of Chiron, the wounded healer, as a metaphor for emotional endurance. The work examines how acts of care can emerge from the same conditions that produce harm, positioning the body as both a site of pain and a vessel for healing. Through gestures of concealment, repetitive motion, and staining, Chiron’s Rule visualises the tension between resilience and rupture. The piece integrates film with layered sound and material textures to evoke the quiet, persistent labour of holding oneself together. It is both an invocation and an exorcism, a space where emotional traces are neither hidden nor resolved, but made visible through accumulation and repetition.
